System Requirements

Before downloading, make sure your device meets the following requirements:

The app requires an active internet connection for the initial setup and to sync data. Once configured, it supports offline mode for field work.

Open Google Play Store

On your Android device, open the Google Play Store app link. Download App

Install the App

Tap the Install button on the Fentu Mobile Technician listing. The download will begin automatically.

Open the App

Once installed, tap Open or find the Fentu icon on your home screen.

Download on iOS

Open the App Store

On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store app.

Search for Fentu

Tap the Search tab at the bottom, then search for Fentu Mobile Technician.

Download the App

Tap Get (or the cloud download icon if you previously installed it) and authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.

Open the App

Once downloaded, tap Open or find the Fentu icon on your home screen.

Permissions Required

When you first open the app, you will be asked to grant several permissions that are required for the app to function correctly:
Required. The app uses your location to display your position on the map view and to enable navigation to customer sites. Grant While Using the App or Always depending on your organisation’s policy.
Required. Used to scan QR codes and barcodes on customer assets, and to take photos that can be attached to tasks and work orders.
Recommended. Enables push notifications so you receive alerts when a new task is assigned to you or when the back office sends you a message.
Recommended. Allows the app to save photos and documents offline. Required for downloading attached files (manuals, diagrams) for offline access.
Denying the Camera permission will prevent asset scanning. Denying Location will disable map navigation. You can grant these permissions later in your device’s Settings.

Keeping the App Updated

Fentu releases regular updates to the mobile app with new features and bug fixes. Keeping the app up to date ensures you have access to the latest capabilities and security improvements.
  • Android: Enable automatic updates in the Play Store settings, or manually update via Manage Apps.
  • iOS: Enable automatic updates in Settings → App Store → App Updates, or update manually in the App Store.
Your system administrator may communicate when a specific minimum version is required. Older versions may lose compatibility with the Fentu server after a server upgrade.
